Comprehensive skin checks

I offer full body skin checks with most abnormal lesions either biopsied on the same day, or rarely planned for biopsy on a return visit. A more conservative approach is to take photos of any concerning lesions and review again in three months’ time.

All skin checks are charged privately, regardless of age or concession card status.

Skin cancer treatment options offered:

• Biopsies

  • Bulk billed when done as part of a skin check, out of pocket if large and requiring a separate appointment.

• Excisions

  • Fees and alternative treatment options will always be discussed beforehand.

• Medical management of skin cancers

  • Chemotherapy creams used for certain premalignant and malignant lesions.

• Cryotherapy of premalignant lesions

  • Liquid nitrogen is applied, often needing annual treatment, but offering a minimally painful and cost efficient treatment of minor lesions
